Shinkaen operated as part of the kitchen car project after suffering damage in the 2011 earthquake and tsunami disaster. After serving from a temporary location, they returned to their original pre-disaster location and officially reopened in June 2015. We wish to express our sincerest gratitude to everyone who gave us their support, and vow to continue serving up our beloved Kamaishi Ramen.
