Opened in 1970 as a cafeteria-style restaurant in the central Omachi district. In 1983 they began to operate under the name “Ramen & Coffee Aidoru”, and grew in popularity as a café that also sold authentic ramen. The store was damaged in the earthquake and tsunami disaster of March 2011, but was quickly rebuilt and reopened in August that same year.
Aidoru’s Kamaishi Ramen is made using a combination of seafood and chicken/pork bone soups, and is served with two meaty slices of roast pork as well as the usual bamboo shoot and seaweed toppings. The “Aidoru Ramen”, a starchy seafood soup containing scallops and shrimp, is also a popular favorite. We recommend ordering a delicious coffee to follow your ramen.
Enjoy a delicious coffee after your meal
We are deeply grateful to the many customers who have visited since the earthquake and tsunami. Thank you.
We will continue to run the cafe as long as our health allows. Come enjoy a coffee and some ramen next time you’re in town.
